Volume Six’s theme is “Summer’s End” — an ode to the flowers and vegetables that August brings. And this month we will be back at Candlefish Maker’s Market! Floral design in collaboration with our friend, Mallory Dovey of @bloomsbymal.
Individuals who are not on the sign-up list may not be permitted into the space.

Still Life Social is a free Charleston community art event that takes place on a monthly cadence. Each session focuses on a different still life setup and individuals of all experience levels are encouraged to attend. Basic drawing materials are provided.
As always, we provide this event format free of charge but if you are interested in donating towards material replenishment so we can keep this series going — we are extremely grateful and appreciative. Art that gives back is our primary goal.
Still Life Social x Candlefish: Garnishes (Vol. 5)
Still Life Social is a free Charleston community art event that takes place on a monthly cadence. Each session focuses on a different still life setup and individuals of all experience levels are encouraged to attend.
This month, we will be popping up in Candlefish’s Charleston Makers Market — a place that understands community well, with their showcasing of local artists, craftspeople, and small-batch producers. Our theme focus is “garnishes” — the small added flairs that make our favorite beverages whole. We will be staging some of our favorite Candlefish candles!
We’re so excited at the opportunity to host in such an intimate space and because of this, we ask that every individual who attends has registered for the event beforehand.

Join us for a peaceful, hands-on community art event centered on using creative practice as a meditative tool for finding stillness.
What to expect
Guided, low-pressure art activities designed to quiet the mind and invite gentle focus
Short breathing and mindfulness prompts between art exercises
Simple materials provided — drawing, collage, watercolor, and mark-making tools
Quiet time for individual exploration followed by optional sharing in small groups
A calming, inclusive space suitable for beginners and experienced makers

Volume One’s theme is “In Bloom” with a primary focus on spring florals.
Basic drawing materials are provided to each participant, but blankets and any preferred supplies are encouraged. Materials are limited to the number of slots available at each session.
